Job Description:

  • Support a portfolio's vision and strategic objectives.
  • Analyze portfolio progress and enact changes, along with reporting portfolio performance to key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate risk of current assets, while complying with governance and controls.
  • Support the business and technical requirements of the Multifamily Asset Management platform as an Analyst including Feature creation/development.
  • Support team in preparing analyses, reports and requirements documentation used to determine business areas need for a technical application.
  • Analyze risks and lead discussions to brainstorm solutions with the subject matter experts.
  • Work with Team leads in monitoring information and processes to reduce risk using rigorous analysis.
  • Implement plans or decisions that fit in the framework of the Portfolio Risk Groups strategy to implement a new technology tool.
  • Gather and document Subject Matter Expert requests to be translated into functional requirement documents for the developers to implement.
  • Guide team efforts to review business strategies and make decisions that will drive success in the face of shifting consumer behaviors and regulations.
  • Coordinates with managers and users to identify systems problems; assesses severity of the issues and prioritizes responses as appropriate.
  • Performs system tests and collaborates with programmers to resolve issues and errors.
  • Works with users to identify system requirements; develops processing procedures and systems modifications to meet these specifications.
  • Uses analytics to analyze, triage and propose changes to the system as needed.
  • Drafts informational materials and graphics to explain systems/changes to managers and users.
  • Prepares specifications and documents for programmers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills
  • The group of skills related to Loan Management including evaluating loan requests, classifying loans, identifying fraud, originating loans, etc.
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • The group of skills related to Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc.
  • Skilled in documentation and reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant Microsoft software
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Experience evaluating businesses, projects, budgets, and other financial entities or instruments to determine viability, stability, and performance
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a must. Should be able to communicate with Management and external users clearly and succinctly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with a team. Be able to multi task and switch gears.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Should be a quick learner and come up to speed by asking questions, researching existing documentation and understanding the ecosystem.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be an independent operator with minimal supervision.
  • Expert level Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Focus on advanced MS excel- Pivots, Lookups, Macro Query etc.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn systems and software used by the organization.
  • Understanding of modeling tools/rule based engines is a highly desirable.
  • Multifamily Secondary Mortgage Experience in Asset Management is a BIG plus. Otherwise financial institutional experience around mortgage risk management is very highly desirable.

  • This role will not be IT or Data; they need someone who comes in as a business person and can understand the business. They will need to have core financial industry experience and experience in the asset management space.

Must Have's:
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to engage with the business
  • Working with the directors to get MRAs to understand the impact of the MRA's and open the systems and be able to understand the application proposed changes, message, and communication what the changes are to the audience
  • Someone who can operate independently

Nice to Have:
  • SQL is great to have to research the data
  • Experienced with Excel specifically with VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables and Macros

Additional Information:
  • Role Duration: 12 -24 months
  • Potential to convert: This role could potentially morph into an FTE role provided on funding and head count is available - Convertible talent only.
