Luster National Inc., a minority-owned small business headquartered in Mill Valley, California, with offices nationwide, and a highly respected Program, Project, Construction and Consulting Management company, is seeking an experienced and successful program Mid-to-Senior Level Scheduler, for a long-term (~12 yrs.), full-time, on-site role located in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze contractor prepared CPM schedules in Primavera P6, baseline schedules, using the schedule specifications as a basis of writing a summary report recommending approval, approved-as-noted, or revise-and-resubmit, or reject disposition; similarly with the review and analysis of contractually required monthly update schedules.
  • Analyze schedules for opportunities to reduce schedule critical path duration and recover delays by creating and analyzing what-if schedules.
  • Analyze contractor delay claims through the application of forensic scheduling principles for merit, quantity, concurrent delays, excusable versus inexcusable delays, compensable versus non-compensable delays, et cetera.
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to schedules for purposes of reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Apply schedule risk management techniques for risk management purposes.
  • Prepare and present schedule analysis presentations.
  • Monthly program schedule progress reporting with key performance indicators (KPIs).

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience with CPM construction scheduling, preferably in rail transit.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with schedule reviews and schedule progress reporting.
  • Physical ability to conduct monthly site visits with personal protective equipment (PPE) for monthly reporting.
  • Must be able to work 100% full time, on-site (no hybrid, no remote).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering, construction management, business, etc.
  • 10+ years of CPM scheduling experience.
  • 5+ years of public works infrastructure experience in rail transit.
  • 5+ years' experience with public works infrastructure project or program reporting.
  • Experience with linear scheduling (e.g., Tilos or similar).
  • Knowledge of and experience with EVM and KPIs.
  • Forensic CPM scheduling skills with experience utilizing forensic scheduling software experience (e.g., Deltek Acumen Fuse).
  • Experience in schedule risk analysis techniques.
  • Expert level forensic scheduling skills, including the use of forensic scheduling software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
  • Expert level skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $129-200K annually. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate's level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
