Job Summary



The Paramedic functions in conjunction with the Registered Nursing staff in the delivery of care during the transport of ill and/or injured pediatric patients. Their duties may include administering medications, performing invasive procedures, and using specialized equipment to treat patients. They are often the first medical professionals on the scene of an emergency, and their quick thinking and skilled interventions can significantly impact patient outcomes. Their work involves close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and the highest possible results. A successful paramedic possesses excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, as well as a genuine passion for helping others.

Education Requirements

• Post High School Degree Program- OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Post High School Degree Program

Experience

• Paramedic Experience Required

Certification and Licensure

• Pa Paramedic Certification or PA EMT Certification


• BLS Certification via AHA


• ACLS Certification & PALS Certification via AHA

Required Skills

• Computer Skills to include use and navigation


• Multitasking
