Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge/experience/training with machine tool controls CNC and PLC Have S.P.C. knowledge with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong math (trigonometry) skills are necessary.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Machine tool programming

  • Circuit design

  • Aerospace specification knowledge is preferred.


Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, machine tool programming experience, as well as cell manufacturing, and CAD experience.

  • Experience in electrical engineering preferred.

If position is ITAR, requiring hires to have a U.S. Person status.

Aa the Engineering Tech/Electronic you would be responsible for problem solving issues that affect daily output within manufacturing operations. Major emphasis is the technical and electronic support of machine tools, work instructions, process/method improvement, programming and floor support.

Essential Functions


  • Troubleshoot and improve production and support equipment to improve safety/productivity/scrap.

  • Design/modify/install devices on production equipment or tooling to support scrap reduction initiatives.

  • Support engineering department initiatives for part programming, network programs, gauging equipment, marking equipment, and machine tool interface.

  • Troubleshoot complex control problems using schematics.

  • Perform complex machine/plant wiring.

  • Use test equipment to solve problems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC servo drives and feedback devices.

  • Troubleshoot and repair various stepper drives, motors, controls.

  • Replace various switches and electrical components.

  • Order parts.

  • Responsible for backup machine tool programming.

  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
