Job Description:

Objectives: FF4L's Retirement Consultants overarching objectives are to produce an unparalleled education experience for advisor and plan sponsor clients. This education experience begins at the first point of contact with advisors and plan sponsors and is a continuous process of understanding needs through reporting the results and outcomes of our work. Education is delivered both in-person and virtually, and FF4L's Retirement Professionals should expect to travel up to 25% of the time. Retirement Consultants will take ownership for the overall experience from beginning to end. Travel is expected for this role.

Meeting Experience

The meeting experience starts with advisor and plan sponsor engagement and is a continuous process through reporting and stewardship. The component parts to delivering an industry leading meeting experience are:
  • Understanding the goals and objectives of clients
  • Developing a tailored communication plan that will assure high levels of participant engagement
  • Developing meeting materials that are industry leading in terms of quality
  • Delivering industry leading presentations
  • Utilizing the planning & communications tools FF4L has developed
  • Reporting to clients in a professional & high-quality manner during the education process
  • Providing insightful, relevant stewardship reporting at the conclusion of each education cycle
  • Owning the relationship management at the centralized and location champion levels

Participant Engagement

Retirement Consultants must demonstrate an ability to gain participant engagement through our education and coaching process. Participant engagement includes:
  • Initial meeting attendance
  • Active engagement of Participants
  • Risk Assessment
  • Active Investment Selection
  • Enrollment in Financial Wellness Services
  • Conversion of Unengaged to Engaged

Reporting & Stewardship

It is critical that Retirement Consultants provide quality reporting on their work to clients so that they clearly understand both our activities and the impact of these activities. Reporting and stewardship includes:
  • Communicating effectively with clients in the planning of education and financial wellness services
  • Effectively planning our education services with clients (centralized and local champions)
  • Confirming in writing after each interaction with clients
  • Utilizing all tools for communicating with plan sponsors on our activity during the education delivery process
  • Effective follow through from all one-on-one interactions with Participants
  • Stewardship reporting to the plan sponsor after each education cycle that communicates
  • Overall activity during the cycle
  • Results and impact from our education services
  • Insights on client needs moving forward
  • Suggested plans for next education cycle

Relationship Management

Retirement Consultants will take ownership for the overall experience from beginning to end. They will work closely with the advisor to both act as an extension of his/her practice and will work to build additional business opportunities with advisors' prospects and clients. FF4L's Retirement Consultants will also work closely with plan sponsors to continue to customize the education plan.

Education/Experience

  • We provide extensive training that allows us to focus on attracting talented people and develop their skills to deliver world class client service
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3 + years prior retirement plan experience
  • CRPC required (or achieved within 6 months)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
