Job Description:
Maintain and repair heavy equipment, buildings, and grounds at a leading environmental services company.
Opportunity to operate heavy equipment and contribute to facility operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, etc.).
- Operate heavy equipment skillfully.
- Demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Perform maintenance tasks for buildings and grounds as needed.
- Manage material/supply inventory (experience with obtaining quotes and placing orders preferred).
- (Preferred) Welding skills (MIG and stick).
- Read and understand equipment manuals.
- Work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow directions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards for equipment.
- Collaborate with Operations and Safety teams on maintenance tasks.
- Attend pre-shift and post-shift safety meetings.
- Monitor plant production and processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Safety-first mentality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
- Positive and production-focused attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
