The Senior Mail Services Associate has expert level knowledge and minutiae for processing and coordinating the logistics of all incoming and outgoing items for the Bank, including mail, packages and other receivable goods and assets. Serve as the first point of contact of these goods, executing proper screening and handling techniques at a proficient level.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and organize incoming and outgoing distribution of merchandise, goods, or bank assets for various business lines or Bank wide.


  • Provide thorough secondary screening and inspection of all incoming mail and packages by applying technical and physical screening techniques, including the use of x-ray equipment and industry standard visual and physical inspection.


  • Ensure that divisional and Bank wide protocols are followed in handling and addressing suspicious or hazardous items, as well as the receipt and handling of incoming and outgoing valuables.


  • Train and develop team members as needed regarding production equipment features, software usage, screening techniques, and gold standards for all daily processes.


  • Establish relationships with external vendors and internal contacts and advance production issues or equipment problems through appropriate channels.


  • Support and add to department’s critical initiatives and participate in ad hoc projects.


  • Collaborate with diverse business partners to support initiatives and provide quality, timely daily operational needs and special requests.


  • Serve as the backup Lead when needed, be aware of various administrative tasks completed by the Lead and able to administer workflows.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or GED or associate's degree preferred


  • 3 plus years of related experience


  • Excellent logistics skills including coordinating the receipt of inventory, sorting, organizing, and fulfilling orders, skilled assembly, and on-time shipment.


  • In-depth knowledge of screening and handling of mail/packages techniques, including functionalities of x-ray equipment, mailroom applications, such as tracking software.


  • Ability to identify suspicious mailing and packages through high level knowledge of identifiable factors.


  • Experience in best practices and industry standards (including use of PPEs, bio hoods, manual screening techniques, etc.), and ability to train others in this area.


  • Understanding of various production level software and equipment (e.g., tracking software, FedEx.com, bulk mailing, etc.), and ability to troubleshoot as needed.


  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot heavy operational equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, shrink wrappers, etc.


  • Experience with project management a bonus


  • Digital literacy with knowledge of MS-Office


  • Certification in forklift operations preferred


  • Excellent ability to communicate, both verbal and written


Base Salary Range: Min $43,700 Mid: $56,900 Max: $69,900

(Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
