The primary purpose of the Billing Data Analyst is to help optimize the quality and accuracy of billing and invoicing for CX. That includes overseeing and monitoring billing systems and processes and managing billing escalations. It may also include developing or enhancing Billing related solutions through the writing of SQL reports, code, and stored procedures / functions. This position responds to internal customers for issue resolution, custom reporting, and inquiries. The Billing Data Analyst works directly with internal operations, finance, Corp IT resources, and external customers.
In this role, the candidate will help CX deliver quality services by helping them to follow our best practices, and by spotting potential problem areas and helping the teams resolve them.
Major Functions/Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor billing system inputs to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
Assist in researching and resolving billing trouble tickets and inquiries within established SLA time frames
Monitor reports to ensure controls are adhered to and report
Audit selected billing invoices to ensure billing accuracy following established SOX control procedures
Work with Business Collaborators and Product Management for the successful completion of projects
Understand, design, enhance and improve SSRS Reports and SSIS Packages
Code and test projects, create test plans and perform testing
Design and Plan Billing Solutions (CDR / SaaS)
Establishes and grows department procedures, policies, and processes
Perform other Billing Department functions as needed, attend meetings and training as required
Always follow the company Code of Ethics and CX policies and procedures
Communicate in an effective and professional manner with internal and external customers
Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job-Related Skills Education Requirement:
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Experience Requirements:
2+ years of experience in related field
Intermediate or Advanced Excel experience
1+ years of MS SQL Server Experience
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Effectively communicate and have interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
Ability to work with and to interpret technical information to non-technical individuals
Experience Preferred:
Proven experience in process and/or systems improvements
