Senior Software Development EngineerTwoSix is looking for a seasoned cloud-based Software Developer with experience in implementing well architected systems and has knowledge of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Mission Capabilities and Systems. Has proven experience developing highly available, cost-efficient solutions focusing on DevSecOps pipelines and microservice architecture in Kubernetes framework environments. Expertise in AWS and a deep understanding of how to build CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps tools with ability to be a hands on leader that can advise/guide decision makers and teams on how to implement tools for best use pertaining to different architecturesDaily Responsibilities:

• Provides Government with analysis, recommendations and/or prototypes in the area of open and well architected systems, software modernization, API development, system automation, and SIGINT mission integration and evaluation by:
  
  
  • Designing, developing, automating software for new, migrated and re-hosted cloud enabled mission capabilities using CI/CD Pipeline deployed on cloud & kubernetes
  • Architect and coordinate efforts to modernize and consolidate legacy system components into a more efficient cloud solution; Optimized Kubernetes deployments to reduce costs and maintenance requirements
  • Informs integration of common software, services, APIs, and applications
  • Maximizes automation, improves O&M effectiveness
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations based on latency requirements, compute resources, storage, etc.
  • Understands and recommends best practice of automatic failover, system recovery and replication challenges
  • Evaluates system tuning, informs optimal configurations
  • Ability to create Software CM plan for development teams
  • Builds secure systems that can obtain ATO, knowledge of RMF process and how to achieve controls
  • Recommends and implements system monitoring tools and the best use of them

• Provides contract support as a technical Subject Matter Expert; writing technical analysis, trade studies and white papers
• Supports other technical exchanges and technical work as needed

Keys for Success:

• You have proven experience as a Sr. Software Development Lead or hands on Solutions Architect implementing well architected systems with at least one strong example, preferably at an Enterprise level
• You have driven a team to build new, migrated or re-hosted cloud enabled mission capabilities or you have optimized an existing system in the cloud (AWS or Azure)
• You have the ability to produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and Sr. level clients
• 5+ years of Java, C++, Go or other language development experience
• 5+ years of unit testing experience

Bonus Points:

• Current Certificate: AWS Certified Developer Associate or Solutions Architect - Associate or Microsoft Certified Azure Developer or Solutions Architect
• Knowledge and expertise applying principles of ICD-503/Risk Management Framework and achieving and maintaining the Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Experience with cloud based networking infrastructure products, Authentication and Authorization (A&A), Role Based Access Controls (RBAC), use of network change requests and firewall change requests to achieve system to system network connectivity via non-person entities
