Patient Access Coordinator - Clinics & Urgent Care at St James Parish Hospital in Lutcher, Louisiana

Job Description:

Working Coordinator who supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities of Patient Access within the Clinics and Revenue Cycle functions within the Clinics and Urgent Care. This includes, but is not limited to, areas of Check-in, Check-out, Scheduling and Authorizations, Call Center, and Revenue Cycle functions.
Job Duties:
Oversees registration and insurance verification activities on assigned accounts.Provides oversight for scheduled visits to ensure all due diligence is complete.Provides hands-on supervision of daily clinic operations at the main hospital and West Bank locations.Understands completely each role, with the ability to flex into any of the positions as needed.Conducts daily rounding to ensure staff can solve real-time problems.Conducts formal rounding to provide staff with private discussion and feedback.Coordinates and/or delivers staff education and training.Performs regular account audits to monitor the quality of work.Runs reports to monitor key performance indicators and attend weekly meetings to discuss department performance.Leads frontline process improvement efforts on identified problems/concerns.Ensures staff have effective tools, equipment, and resources to perform their tasks.Manages schedules to ensure appropriate coverage levels.Reviews and approves the Time and Attendance for each employee for payroll purposes.Assists with implementing initiatives for improving Patient Satisfaction.Participates in the evaluation of staff performance.Key involvement in staff hiring, training, and onboarding.Supervises clinic access staff including training, evaluation, and development.
