Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to take on the role of Director of Staff Development. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing the training and development of our nursing and support staff, ensuring that our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive staff development programs.


• Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions for new hires.


• Provide ongoing education and training to staff to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.


• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.


• Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth.


• Maintain accurate records of staff training and development activities.


• Ensure all staff certifications and licenses are up to date.

Qualifications:

• Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of California.


• Proven experience in staff development, training, or a similar leadership role in a healthcare setting.


• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively with a diverse team and manage multiple priorities.


• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
