Purpose Statement

As the Customer Marketing Manager for in store bakery, you will be leading our Customer/Segment Marketing efforts for the assigned segment. This role includes being a key participant in Customer/Segment Marketing activities including the development and execution of customer/segment specific marketing plan, including demand creation efforts. You will also interface and lead cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Distributor Marketing, Culinary, Sales, R&D, and Finance) on customer/segment specific Marketing initiatives.


This is a hybrid opportunity and would require T-Th in office work at our world headquarters in Buffalo, NY


Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

For assigned segment:



  • Deliver segment growth and financial goals and manage the segment P&L

  • Develop segment marketing strategies and support new product innovation platforms, grounded in consumer, customer, and category knowledge

  • Lead strategy execution and activation efforts to drive profitable growth for Rich Products and our customers

  • Bring marketing programs to life through collaboration with sales, product & culinary teams, agency partners, and third-party vendors



Strategic Planning



  • In alignment with Customer Marketing leadership, participate in the development of segment and category strategies and plans including:



  • Lead development of strategic plan for the segment

  • Lead development of 2-year operating plan for the segment

  • Develop and execute the integrated marketing plan for the segment

  • Preparation and support for Joint Sales & Marketing planning process

  • Collaborate with sales to establish robust customer plans and leverage LAMP and join business planning with select strategic customers; support sales enablement



Market Analysis:



  • Anticipate, identify, and analyze consumer & customer needs as well as market trends and opportunities to maximize Rich's competitive position. Develop a keen understanding of the competition, customers and consumers; as well as a complete understanding of the segment and category performance in the market. This includes analysis of multiple data sources. Key activities include:



  • Monitor key competitive activity in the segment

  • Data analysis to understand segment results and trends, competitive performance, and consumption trends

  • Turn data into actionable insights to improve segment performance

  • Sales and customer interaction to understand customer needs and opportunities

  • Sourcing and sharing competitive intelligence

  • Recommend and work with the Research and Insights group to conduct needed marketing research

  • Collaborate with product marketing to provide VOCC (Voice of Customer and Consumer) to support new product and Innovation initiatives for segment




Financial - Demand and P&L Management:



  • Bring insight regarding the drivers of segment demand, identify key gaps in demand vs plan through integrated business planning process, develop gap closing plans in conjunction with sales to ensure delivery of the top and bottom line

  • Drive improvement in assigned segment P&L's and complete analyses as required including:



  • Review of monthly segment/category P&L's to manage financial return of the segment

  • Measure and analyze financial impact of promotions and demand creation efforts


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required; MBA a plus

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a marketing role with a proven track record of results. Foodservice marketing experience, specifically in the food industry, preferred

  • Demonstrated financial skills to include solid analytics skills (e.g.; making recommendations, interpretation, opportunities, etc.)

  • Solid communication skills to include verbal and written capabilities; strong presentation ability

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging entrepreneurial environment

  • Demonstrated influencing ability

  • Solid software proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required; MBA a plus

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a marketing role. Foodservice or CPG marketing experience, specifically in the food industry, preferred

  • Demonstrated financial skills to include basic analysis

  • Solid communication skills to include verbal and written capabilities; strong presentation ability

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging entrepreneurial environment

  • Travel up to 30% strategically planned to support key customers and initiatives and deliver business results

  • Strong PC, proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint #CORP123 #LI-RT1



COMPENSATION


In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.



Annual Range/Hourly Rate


$100,720.00-$151,080.00
