Senior Consultant, Audit Operations Comcast Assurance and Advisory Team
The Comcast Assurance and Advisory Team (CAAT) is a partner to Comcast's individual businesses including Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. CAAT performs projects (engagements) year-round to help these groups assess risk and improve the effectiveness of their business, financial and technology processes, and internal controls. The Audit Operations Senior Consultant role supports the Audit Operations management team in developing and executing the strategic vision of the Department. The Senior Consultant assists with industry benchmarking, budgeting / forecasting, engagement methodology and status, quality assessments, and presentations for both CAAT and Comcast Executive Management.
-Execute the operations/logistics management function for approximately 125 internal audit staff members, including:
-Quality management and assessment
-Innovative tools and methodologies
-Knowledge library of internal and external accumulated content
-Engagement and action tracking
-Organization health scorecard-
-Budget and forecast
-Coordinate content and production for senior executive presentations and updates to Audit Committee.
-Serve as a resource for the team and company related to emerging risk themes and audit practices across the industry and profession.
-Identifies and communicates leading internal audit practices.
-Ensures that special projects are completed as necessary.
-Travels as necessary.
-Actively participates in Comcast and other external community activities / service.
-Works with broad discretion as to work details on assignments of a varied and difficult nature.
-Conducts project staff involved in the examination of a wide variety of activities.
-Examines records, documents, methods, policies, costs, and other factors to determine if functional areas are conducting operations inaccordance with established guidelines, policies, procedures, and governmental and legal requirements.
-Coordinates the preparation of reports summarizing audit results.
-Makes recommendations regarding corrective action and reviews audit findings with Managers.
-Plans methods to be followed in the conduct of audits; recommends activities to be examined, the extent of examination, and establishes completion schedules.
-Develops audit programs for specific audits or operating entities.
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Educational, experience, and skill requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or MIS with solid academic credentials.
-Generally requires 5-7 years related experience.
-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
-Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong inherent project management skills, including: prioritizing tasks, balancing workload between multiple projects, anticipating next steps, adapting to changing situations and project scope.
-Strong interpersonal skills required, including: written and verbal communications, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary, and commitment to self-improvement and completion of team objectives.
-Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
