Location: Dalton, Georgia
Responsible for providing direction to the department with utmost regard to safety, efficiency, productivity, cost, and quality while ensuring compliance with all company, plant, and departmental guidelines and procedures
Manages shift supervisors in monitoring progress against schedules, quality conformance, production levels, safety performance and associate relations on each shift
Investigates equipment problems and collaborates with Plant Engineering relative to repairs and modifications.
Directs raw material control efforts within the department. Serves as primary liaison with latex material suppliers
Assures machine maintenance efforts are focused on priorities and effectively scheduled.
Responsible for process specifications
Responsible for submitting trial request for evaluating new products and formulation changes on the Coater
Participate on the Finishing Maintenance team.
Responsible for maintaining on-going quality improvement plans to drive quality improvement in the Finishing department. Quality plans should include, but not be limited to claims, shorts, and off quality.
Responsible for notifying the IE Manager/Accounting when a new calibration vendor is to be used.
Responsible for driving safety and providing direction for maintaining an up to date safety program ensuring that all unsafe areas are corrected as soon as possible.
4 year degree and Manufacturing Management experience. (Manufacturing Management experience would include Process Engineer, Supervisor, Department Manager, etc.)
Coater experience preferred.
Must demonstrate leadership qualities, including interpersonal skills
Must be able to work required overtime
Must be ale to direct associates in a safe and efficient manner
Must be able to communicate effectively with all level of management, as well as supervisors and hourly associates.
Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and analyze data and reports.
