We have an immediate need for a full-time Benefits Specialist to join our team at headquarters in McLean, VA. We are looking for the right candidate who is eager to help shape a growing organization.

Essential Function:

*

Manage and administer the company's benefits programs to include, health & welfare (H&W), 401(k), flexible spending programs, leave, ESOP, etc.
*

Advise and educate employees on eligibility, coverage and other benefit related items
*

Administer all leaves (FMLA, STD/LTD, etc.)
*

Assist and update Benefit polices and procedures as need
*

Communicate and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits
*

Lead all annual benefits enrollment and reenrollment activity
*

Function as a liaison between vendors and employees and benchmark best practices
*

Prepare and conduct company-wide benefits communications
*

Conduct weekly new hire orientation
*

Develop, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
*

Prepare the benefits compliance reporting data (5500, ACA, etc.)
*

Collaborate with departments such as payroll and finance to review, analyze, and reconcile payroll and census related data, as well as monthly benefits billing invoices
*

Ensure benefits are set up and tested correctly in HRIS
*

Generate employee data reports and detailed summary benefit reports/charts from the HRIS and vendor systems
*

Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selections
*

Fulfill all compliance and reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, to include ACA, SCA, and affirmative action reporting
*

Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees
*

Build strong relationships with employees at all levels in the organization
*

Qualifications:

*

A bachelor's degree in HR, business or related field or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of relevant experience
*

Strong comprehension of US Employment Law, federal and state laws relating to benefits plans including ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA, FMLA, ACA, etc., and government contracting compliance requirements

* Ability to analyze data and statistics, compile accurate reports, and draw reasonable conclusions

* Excellent writing skills, including ability to develop accurate correspondence, HR documentation, and ability to design and develop HR documents, forms, and templates, and communication materials

*

Comprehensive understanding of how benefits data integrates with payroll and benefit providers
*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
*

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*

Must demonstrate strong initiative with minimal supervision and exercise strong prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met
*

High work ethic, high ethical standards and strong commitment to customer service
*

Ability to travel to visit employees at various locations
*

Experience within the government contracting industry highly preferred
*

ESOP experience highly desired
*

Experience with SharePoint and ADP a plus
