Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant III (AA III) is a staff position for the Resident Training Program within the MEP. The position ensures that the program is maximizing the educational experience by supporting faculty and staff in the management and coordination of the residency program. The AA III will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the residency program.

The AA III positon requires independent decision-thinking on matters of a critical and confidential nature. The position should be able to make day-to-day administrative decisions independently or with minimal supervision. They should be able to solve complex problems, including developing methods or procedures to resolve unusual or recurring problems. They should be able to coordinate and develop administrative processes for complex scheduling and logistics for meetings and events.

Required Qualifications: High school graduation and four years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite including: word processing, spreadsheets, database experience, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint
Knowledge of standard office procedures, policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to learn new computer skills and programs quickly
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a busy office environment with discretion
Ability to function with minimal direction from supervisor
Excellent verbal and written communication, and organization skills and demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional manner
Ability to meet deadlines and work under the direction of several individuals
Ability to work well independently, as well as part of the team
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines with frequent interruptions, and attention to detail
Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability
Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
Philosophy of customer service
Ability to problem solve with a minimal amount of instruction
