Job Description:

Assist the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) Cultural and Natural Resources Programs by providing administrative support for the Program Director, Program Managers, and staff, involving professional level work in managing and coordinating staff services. This includes coordination, promotion, and improvement of programs, and preparing inter-agency budgets, fiscal management, human resources administration, preparing public involvement information, or performing highly technical administrative support duties for program staff, and other comparable responsibilities. This position is funded through long-standing interagency agreements between ODOT and the University, and will work with Account and Budget Representatives from two research units: Oklahoma Archaeological Survey (OAS) and Oklahoma Biological Survey (OBS), as well as Financial Coordinators with Office of Research Services (ORS).

Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, OR:

  • 48 mo of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration

Skills:


  • Financial or accounting experience to include analysis, auditing and budgeting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

  • General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail

  • The employee is regularly required to communicate. 

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, move, reach with hands and arms, dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse.

  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Departmental Preferences:

  • Bachelors and 1 year experience in basic information and Communications technology
