Summary of Job Duties
(Note: This summary will be used for keyword search) Research Program Senior Assistant
The Research Program Senior Assistant provides advanced-level administrative and budgetary support for a high-profile professor and research group that spans across both the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and Institute for Energy Efficiency. Advises faculty member on critical budgetary and personnel planning decisions on multi-million dollar cross-disciplinary research awards. Financial management of research lab recharge accounts. Assumes complete project planning for technical research reviews, conferences, workshops, seminars and group meetings. Coordinates travel arrangements, prepares travel and entertainment reimbursements. Manages arrangements for long and short-term visitors. Assists research group in purchasing activities. Produces highly complex technical word processing material, visual presentation aids and maintains research group web pages.

Minimum Requirements
Work history demonstrating an administrative background. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, and FileMaker Pro). Ability to organize, coordinate, and prioritize workload, edit and proofread materials, and work independently under pressure of deadlines. Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

Desirable Requirements
Knowledge of UC Policies and Procedures as it relates to contract/grant funding desirable.
