The Opportunity

We are looking to hire a Senior Director of Artistic Planning to join our corporate senior living team.  This position will report directly to the CEO. In this role, you will create and control the artistic and educational programs serving 9+ luxury senior living communities across the country. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, maintaining and controlling the vision, venue and content which shapes the artistic, education and cultural programming of the All Seasons communities.  The right person will cultivate artist and educational relationships in order to develop compelling concerts, thematic and intellectual programming, and the overall artistic through-line for each month’s signature events and activities.  This position will network, negotiate and contract with multiple artistic mediums and platforms including visual arts, literature and writers, performing artists, musicians, speakers, educators, historians, film makers and interactive media to support and increase the capacity of artistic and cultural practice throughout our senior living communities. Above all else; the Director of Artistic Planning must have an unparalleled passion for service in order to display a commitment of excellence that interprets the All Seasons vision and brand.

Key Functions

  • Partner with the Senior Living team to provide the highest quality events program in the vision that is commensurate with the All Seasons brand as leader in the senior living industry.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with leading international artists and educators.

  • Coordinate all scheduling and negotiate all pricing and contracts on global initiatives.

  • Effectively set the tone and vision of our resident cultural, educational and event programming.

  • Review and advise on regularly scheduled activities and the overall events calendar.

  • Develops programming that is appropriate for the level of care that is being served.

  • Maintain department expenses within budgeted parameters.

  • Holds monthly meetings with Directors of Life Enrichment to review upcoming events and approve calendars and ensure standards and coverage.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master’s degree in the Arts or Humanities preferred.

  • A minimum of 8 years of similar experience in program implementation and direction

  • Experience in event planning and managing significant budgets, maintaining high standards of fiscal governance

  • Understanding of classical music and enthusiasm for arts and literature

  • A noted contributor to at least one medium of socially engaged artistic and cultural expression; ardent consumer across the spectrum of arts and cultural practice

  • Existing relationships within the arts and educational community
