Job Description:

Weiler Labeling Systems, based in Moorestown, NJ, designs, manufactures, integrates and supports the most sophisticated and advance pressure sensitive labeling solutions in the marketplace. Responsible for the design of new products and/or improvements of existing designs.  Researches and analyzes data to determine feasibility of design effort.

Principal duties:

  • Assist in the generation of schedules and manpower requirements for each job

  • Oversee junior staff members on any given project, as required

  • Generate mechanical designs from URS input and management guidance

  • Utilize design information from previous projects in an effort to be as expeditious and cost effective as possible

  • Responsible for interfacing with other engineers as well as with sales staff and customers in an effort to fully understand the scope of any project

  • Perform analysis such as strength, speed, weight, etc. where required to ensure a successful design

  • Consider performance, safety, patents, goals, regulatory requirements and customer specifications when designing products or systems

  • Generate and/or support the generation of all drawings required to define and manufacture the design

  • Support production during assembly to ensure proper assembly, effective debugging, etc.

  • Makes changes and corrections in the mechanical design and documentation as required throughout the life of the product as a result of necessary changes determined on the production floor or in the field


  • Ability to lead other engineers

  • Ability to support difficult design efforts due to engineering expertise derived from experience, etc.

  • Ability to understand requirements from a URS and convert them into design ideas

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to generate 3D models and break them down into 2D drawings with appropriate dimensioning and tolerances


  • 12+ yrs experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of SolidWorks CAD – recent revisions


  • BSME degree preferred
