Marketing Product Manager - Demand Creation

Job Description:

Drives activation of Winfield United’s demand creation platform by enabling Winfield United sellers, along with retail sellers, to tell the WinField United story about advancing agriculture at the local level. This is done through the planning and execution of our WinField United Edge & Catalyst strategy & deployment at the local level

Catalyst (WinField United Grower Loyalty Program) 50%


  • Leads the strategy and deployment of the Catalyst Grower Loyalty program.

  • Develops marketing and promotion collateral to support annual roll-out of Catalyst, working closely with IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) team.

  • Owns the Executive and Base Grower Pak program: Includes updating the products in the paks, selecting the award items, annual contract renewal with partnered suppliers, working closely with Procurement team, manage the exception process and coordinating the award fulfillment process.

  • Manages the accrual for the Catalyst Program – forecast grower pak demand volumes, award items, reimbursement from suppliers and reimbursement from dealers.  Works with finance to update accrual monthly.

  • Reviews annual contract and manage the relationship with United Marketing of MN – WinField United redemption supplier for award items.

  • Monitors the auditing process to ensure compliance with Catalyst Purchase qualification.

  • Leverages data analytics that drive local insights/opportunities with growers of tomorrow

  • Creates and deploys training module on Catalyst for Winfield United sales force to enable and empower them to execute Catalyst with owner retail accounts.

  • In collaboration with Sales team, develops account target plan for Catalyst. Maintains relationships with aligned retail accounts.

  • Owns the annual review of Catalyst to enhance/update the program to drive growth. This includes developing a RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) with stakeholders identified – Sales, AgriMine/MSS, IMC, Procurement, Agronomy, National Grower of Tomorrow Team.

WinField United Edge (Retail Seller Loyalty Program) 40%


  • Leads the strategy and deployment of the WinField United Edge Retail Seller Loyalty program.

  • Develops marketing and promotion collateral to support annual roll-out of WU Edge, working closely with IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) team.

  • Manages the Seed and Crop Protection Product list of ACE values for Signature and Performance, working collaboratively with Seed and Crop Protection Marketing P&L leads on product list inclusion.

  • Leads and defines all selling, learning and engagement Sprints for retailers as part of WinField United Edge. Collaborate with IMC, Marketing P&L leads for Seed and Crop Protection. Coordinate training modules through Field Sales Training Team.

  • Manages the relationship and annual business plan with BI Worldwide – our business partner for Sprint Initiative, online reporting dashboard and award item redemption.

  • Monitors the auditing process to ensure compliance with Catalyst Purchase qualification.

  • Leverages data analytics that drive local insights/opportunities with aligned retailers

  • In collaboration with Sales team, develop account target plan for WinField United Edge.

  • Creates and deploy training module on WU Edge for Winfield United sales force to enable and empower them to implement WU Edge with owner retail accounts. Collaborate and maintain relationships with aligned retail accounts.

  • Owns the annual review of Edge to enhance/update the program to drive growth. This includes developing a RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) with stakeholders identified – Sales, AgriMine/MSS, IMC, Procurement, and Agronomy.

  • Manages the accrual for the Edge Program –reimbursement from suppliers. Work with finance to update accrual monthly.

  • Facilitates the ACE payments and Award incentives to retailers

Basic Manufacturers (10%)


  • Collaborates with identified suppliers on demand creation strategy, working closely with Procurement team.

  • Builds marketing implementation plans driving value of Catalyst and WinField United Edge with suppliers.

  • Develops and report sales implementation updates to sales leadership of supplier partners.  

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in marketing or agronomy

  • MBA – preferred but not required

  • A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience to include: program management, new product/program launches, analytics, insights and sales team connectivity.

  • Prior experience in data mining and data reporting

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience creating and delivering effective presentations

  • Project management skills

  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders

  • Agronomic understanding of crop protection and seed inputs is highly preferred

  • Skilled user in Power BI – preferred

  • Ability to drive organizational priorities

  • Experience participating in and leading cross-functional teams

  • Ability to make timely decisions and communicate appropriately

  • Works well in group problem solving situations and has ability to develop alternative solutions
