Strategy and Real Estate, Safety & Environment - Financial Analyst
The Finance Transformation and Central Support Function team within the global supply chain (GSC) of North America (NAM) is seeking a Financial Analyst with 2-4 years of experience. This team provides the financial analysis, forecasting and modeling to help decision-makers assess the strengths and risks involved in strategic opportunities related to manufacturing and real estate. In this role you will provide financial support to various operational VPs and their staff. You will develop excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and the ability to think fluidly. The position will allow the right candidate to expand their knowledge of business strategies, financial processes, and the company's goals.
The successful candidate is a proven analyst who embraces change, offers new perspectives, and constantly looks for new and improved ways to achieve results. You must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with business partners and work independently with minimal supervision while completing a variety of non-standardized tasks.
Functional support area: Business partner with the North America Global Supply Chain Strategy and Real Estate, Safety & Environment organizations. Work alongside various teams regionally and globally to drive understanding and continuous improvement of financial performance.
Activities: Business Case Creation Be an active and influential business partner when developing strategy, tooling, and real estate business cases, by gathering and vetting data, challenging assumptions, and identifying productivity opportunities Cost Management Manage monthly reporting and quarterly forecasts ensuring compliance to targets Capital Management Manage monthly reporting and quarterly forecasting providing progress updates to business partners to drive execution Quarterly Business Reviews Assist in QBR preparation, identifying key drivers of results and risks/ opportunities to forecast or target Finance Site Lead Manage financials and allocations for various SE sites Environmental Provision (EPA) Monitor both long- and short-term provisions for SEUSA; making monthly entries to fund provisions, reclass expenses, and reconcile accounts Project Tracking Track project progress for business cases; meet with project managers and plant finance to ensure alignment Allocation Management Develop and execute financial allocations of SE Real Estate, Environment and Safety resources to NAM sites Ad Hoc Perform various one-off requests to contribute to the team's success
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
2-4 years of relevant experience
Strong technical, analytical, communication and influencing skills; must pay attention to detail
Must be able to perform variance analysis, identifying key drivers of performance
Ability to concisely summarize data and develop key messages
Comfortable working with all levels of an organization.
Strong aptitude for working multiple requests
Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
Experience in developing financial and decision-support models
Solution orientation with strong and demonstrated customer service focus
Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business issues
