Assure the integrity and performance of building and equipment to meet production needs in a safe and efficient manner. In the event of absence, Mechanic A will cover this position.
areas of responsibility:
Take a proactive approach to building and equipment maintenance utilizing the MP2 system. Prioritize and lead maintenance team by assigning tasks for completion on a daily basis. Maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Draft and adhere to an annual maintenance budget. Work closely with the corporate engineering department in the development and completion of capital projects. Communicate with management team as to resolution of issues as they pertain to the maintenance department. Work with the MP2 system in the generation of daily work orders. Schedule daily PM's as needed. Support all guidelines of GMP's, HAACP, FDA, the Environmental Control Act, and OSHA standards to ensure that the plant is in compliance. Manage parts inventory.
Food safety responsibility:
To assure the safety of all that is produced at this facility. To immediately react to a food safety concern.
what to do if a food safety issue is witnessd:
Immediately stop the production line. Immediately notify the management team in order to assess the next steps. Immediately notify corporate QC.
knowledge, skills, abilities:
Must be proficient in MP2 systems. Must have a working knowledge of a food manufacturing plant. Must be proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and Microsoft Word. Must have proven leadership skills. Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
