Every 10 seconds, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week patients around the world receive a Zimmer Biomet product, resulting in helping millions of people each year. #ZBDental The Technician performs all activities relating to Intra Oral Scanned model (IOS) and the Lab Design Abutment (LDA) order intake and assessment, meeting all company quality and regulatory standards.
1. Assess Intra Oral Scanned model received from doctor to determine if it can be processed. 2. Assess the LDA files received from the Customers thru the 3Shape inbox and determine if design meets the design matrix standards before files can be send to production. 3. Utilize company ERP system to create job order and required Device History Record documentation for Patient Specific and Special products. 4. Create job order in Dental Manager or from an existing template. 5. Load IOS scan files received from doctor or lab. Perform on screen alignment and scan. 6. Scan work order to the correct folder in the S: drive for customer service to access if needed. 7. Tray the job with work order and required Device History Record documentation, and signature sheet. 8. Verify LDA files for programmer to program files. 9. Send LDA digital design files (STL) to the correct programming folder. 10. Convert completed IOS design files to send back to the vendor for Rapid Prototype (RP) models to be milled. 11. Coordinate with logistic lead or operations personnel on production schedules to ensure that product will ship by promised date.
- Must have the ability to make suggestions for improvements on general processes (relating to own work, products, and department) - Ability to communicate effectively with customers. - Ability to communicate effectively in English regarding process/procedure problems, etc. - Ability to apply common sense, understanding, and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. - Superior levels of accuracy, and good sense of urgency - Ability to maintain satisfactory production requirements while working at highly repetitive routine tasks.
- One to two year’s computer experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 6 months – 1 year dental experience or education preferred. - Knowledge of ERP systems and working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook - Experience with computer assisted design software helpful - Must have Customer Service skills to include excellent organizational skills
