Job Description:

The role:

The Sr. Manager, Art Direction will lead all aspects of the development and optimization of creative design deliverables for marketing programs, promotions, and campaigns in support of key worldwide business initiatives. This role will be responsible for generating original and well-designed creative content for multiple Herbalife Nutrition audiences including Distributors, Preferred Members, Customers and the general public.

The Sr. Manager will lead, manage, collaborate, develop and deliver marketing creatives for print, video and web channels, including; marketing tools, websites, blog posts, CRM platforms, email marketing, newsletters, presentations, events and advertising, promotions, product launches, distributor marketing tools, digital tools and marketing events.

The Sr. Manager will coordinate the work of internal and external design service providers, including a variety of in-house design, agency and studio production teams (designers, production artists, photographer and specialists). In turn will be accountable for ongoing collaboration with multiple Marketing cross functional partners including: Regional Marketing, Product Marketing, Account Management, Social, Digital, Video Production, WWM, Sales, Operations other corporate teams.

This position will report to the Sr. Director, Creative Services.

How you would contribute:


  • Oversee the design execution for Worldwide Creative Services, ensure consistent brand application across all channels (online, social media, email, point of purchase, mobile, video, interactive, marketing events and print) are consistent in terms of style and quality, and optimized to provide an industry-leading user experience


  • Conceive, develop, align, art direct and design concepts that fit into Brand/Distributor design principles


  • Develop creative marketing content across various channels including Distributor and Customer tools and assets, web (websites, CRM platforms, interactive platforms, email marketing, social media), print and video


  • Ensure visual content is fresh, engaging and visually addresses strategy, meets the requirements of the creative brief, partner needs and reflects the company’s brand philosophy


  • Manage projects from inception through execution and print/posting/distribution


  • Support initiatives such as and storytelling on an ongoing basis as needed


  • Lead team meetings as needed in the absence of the Sr. Director


  • Work with partners at all levels to refine creative requests and to ensure effective communications


  • Art direct photo shoots and ensure contracts with external resources are effectively managed in compliance with Herbalife policies and regulatory requirements


  • Participate and/or lead meetings with cross-functional teams to address needs


  • Evaluate design strategy and collaborate on creative direction for marketing initiatives and campaigns, both short- and long-term, and provides insights on feasibility as well as recommendations to meet objectives.


  • Lead all aspects of design development for marketing tools that support retailing, recruiting, retention and business growth, as well as online content, newsletters, campaigns and promotions.


  • Collaborate with Brand on the development of brand strategy and enforcement of brand management standard methodologies


  • Take on leadership responsibilities regarding design strategy for company initiatives within assigned cross-functional teams as needed


  • Direct and lead resources, evaluate staff project allocation and performance, and advise Creative & Content Strategy Director to ensure adequate resourcing


  • Utilize market knowledge and campaign analytic to improve campaign themes/topics and content development


  • Support internal process improvements, identify areas of improvement, and develop standard methodologies to ensure maximum team efficiency


  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Experience:


  • 8 years of experience in a creative and design environment, advertising agency or corporate creative services department


  • Hands-on design experience (including digital content, video, interactive, marketing programs and promotions)


  • 5 years developing visual strategy at a senior level or in a leadership role


  • Experience leading multiple projects and communications with multiple partners and business groups


  • Experience in packaging, environmental design, motion graphics, 3d formats, interactive, photography art direction, and video projects


  • Experience in digital content strategy, leading direct reports and developing design deliverables for digital tools (Mobile Apps, CRM, interactive content)

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in communications, literature, journalism, advertising, business, public relations or related field
