Principal IT Analyst- Infrastructure Engineering and Automation at Cummins in Columbus, Indiana

Job Description:

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways;

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Cloud/DevOps team


• Implement, support, and/or migration of applications (lift and shift, refactor) onto Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI or VMC on AWS).


• Implement, support DevOps toolsets e.g. configuration management, containers, CI/CD, Source Control and IaC).


• Proactively seek new value-add automation opportunities for internal customers and converts those new opportunities to realized value.


• Responsible for People Management including work plan development, performance management, and people development.

• 
  

  Compile and present Management Reports on team performance including metrics, deliverable status, etc.

  
  

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• 
  

  Highly technical and analytical 6+ years of IT implementation experience in infrastructure engineering and automation/DevOps

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with creating reference architectures, implementation, and system design documentation.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience leading/supervising a team of Cloud/DevOps engineers

  
  


• 
  

  Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools e.g.  Gitlab, Puppet, Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes and SCCM in production Environment

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years of hands on programming skills (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript, Go, etc.)

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years with cloud management platform (e.g. CloudBolt Software, VMware vRealize Automation, OpenStack)

  
  


• 
  

  One or more cloud certifications (AWS Professional Certifications, Azure Professional Certifications, Oracle Cloud Certifications)

  
  


• 
  

  College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business or a related subject required

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
