Job Overview:

GaN is now accepting resumes for a General Engineer I, contingent upon contract award, to support the Ballistic Missile Defense Evaluation Directorate (BMDED) in Huntsville, Alabama. The BMDED provides an independent Operational Assessment and Evaluation of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capability to defend the United States, its deployed forces, friends, and allies against ballistic missiles of all ranges and in all phases of flight.

The ideal candidate performs a variety of routine engineering tasks designed to provide experience and familiarization with engineering methods, practices, and programs. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Works under the guidance and direction of an experienced engineer; assignments screened for unusual or difficult problems and techniques; or procedures to be applied to the solution of problems will be selected by an experienced engineer or the supervisor.
• Provides professional engineering support within allocated task resources.
• Performs limited portions of engineering tasks under the detailed direction of an experienced engineer.
• Applies commonly used equations and techniques to evaluate and solve assigned problems or systems.

Requirements (minimum):

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering discipline and 1+ years' experience in design development, and/or testing planning, reviewing, or executing testing of military systems.
• Experience in Department of Defense (DoD) integrated test philosophy, test regulations, and coordinated test and evaluation programs are required
• Must be familiar with DoD drawings, specifications practices, formats, and procedures.

Special Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Top Secret security clearance is required with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility.
