Nursing Content Editor (Contractor) 

 

The Nursing Content Editor reviews and edits content for nursing and health professions point-of-care products and helps ensure content meets EBSCO Health’s quality standards.

 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Performs substantive editing of clinical content

  • Ensures readability, clarity, flow, and consistency of content

  • Applies best practices for creating web content

  • Ensures content adheres to style guides (house and AMA) and templates

  • Communicates and collaborates professionally with staff content development editors and Director of Content Development to address issues impacting content within the nursing & allied health products

 

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in a related field (such as English, Health Communications/Communications, Journalism, Education, or health-related field)

  • Experience writing/editing content related to pediatrics, family practice, behavioral health, and various med-surg specialties

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • High computer literacy skills and aptitude to learn editing/content management software and perform related skills (such as tagging and linking); experience in XML editing a plus

  • Ability to apply independent thinking and analysis and to complete tasks under tight deadline and minimal supervision
