Rackspace Technology accelerates the value of the cloud during every phase of a customer's digital transformation.Join us on our mission. Our Commercial sales team is looking for experienced technical sales professionals to help us continue to grow by seeking new opportunities within existing accounting and hunting for new customers. What will I be doing? OurProduct Account Development Representativeswork as part of a team, leading the full sales cycle.  Specializing in acquiring customers through inbound leads and qualified prospects. Responsible for providing customers with product solutions based on facts and understanding of customers' business needs and strategy. Owns opportunities through the full sales cycle from lead to close. Engages in solution-based selling with customers looking for sales/service/marketing solutions.   


What makes someone successful in this role?


  • Ability to identify decision makers within targeted accounts to begin effective prospecting campaigns. Call on prospective buyers in existing customer base / contacts inside existing account base as a source of lead generation.

  • Cross sell into all targeted accounts and generate leads/opportunities from within client base. Create and deliver qualified cross sell opportunities to field Strategic Account Executives as dictated.


  • Handles inbound, reactive customer calls and convert them into sales opportunities.

  • Overcome objections. Describe product/service features and benefits and how they relate to the business need / problem.

  • Completes highly transactional work where learning is applied to new situations.

  • Collaborates with Client Executives and sales leader to ensure work activities align with customer sales strategy.

  • Meets or exceeds quota/metric expectations for revenue, contact, and lead generation.

  • Manages data for clients in company's CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.

What are the qualifications for this role?


  • Requires 1-2 years of related experience in telesales and/or inside sales.

  • Requires solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.

  • B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Experience in the technology industry preferred.
  • Prefer previous experience developing business relationships with enterprise companies.
  • Prefer previous success qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers.
