Job Description
The TFMS Systems Administrator supports testing and operational activities of a suite of software & hardware used nationwide to support Federal Aviation Administration/FAA Air Traffic Control (ATC) Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS). The objective of this position is to provide 2nd Level Engineering support to ensure that the technical, functional capability, operability, supportability, schedule, stakeholder, human factors, and safety concerns and issues are fully met. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
High School Diploma and 7 Years of related experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of math, statistics and computer science and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
Skills & Abilities:
Must haveFAA Air Traffic Control Systems Administrator Experience on TFMS
- Experience with analyzing test data, using configuration management tools, and testing applications
- Experience with performance, load, stress, system migration, data interface, and data migration testing
- Experience creating testing and performance summary reports
- Experience in Linux/AIX/UNIX environment system administration(networking, backup, user management)
- Experience in Linux/AIX/UNIX shell script development
- Experience in installation and integration of COTS software in a Linux/AIX/UNIX environment
- Experience with MS Office Products
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be a self-starter able to work on own
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
