The Director, Strategic Labor Management is a member of AVI-SPL’s X team responsible for the company’s external labor sourcing program, pricing and preferred partner relationships. The position is focused on optimizing the labor procurement strategy creating competitive advantages for our LOB teams to acquire and retain business while providing a high degree of successful execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establish, analyze and optimize the global labor procurement strategy ensuring alignment with business goals
Partner with executive leadership, department heads and other key stakeholders to understand business needs and establish requirements, scope and criteria for labor sourcing strategies
Manage the company’s labor supply portfolio, with specific focus on development and management of preferred partner programs and relationships
Lead market research and vendor profiling to assist in both global and local labor supplier selection
Oversight of labor partner onboarding into AVI-SPL’s subcontractor management portal
Calculate and analyze costs of labor procurement and suggest methods to optimize expenditure
Invent negotiation strategies and secure competitive pricing with both preferred as well as local market labor partnerships
In coordination with LOB leadership and risk management, ensure labor partners are in compliance with all AVI-SPL policies, safety requirements & training/certification expectations
Conduct regular labor partner performance evaluations and risk assessments, with specific focus on preferred partners
Develop and manage tools to assist in facilitation of competitive quoting to ensure efficient and effective multi-vendor quoting procurement strategy adoption
Collect and interpret labor procurement data including cost analysis reporting, benchmarking spend, competitive RFP data and return on investment
Perform regular review of established labor procurement processes to ensure continual improvement and refine programs, polices and tools as required
Model & create an environment of accountability amongst both the partner and internal business community to reinforce adoption of the global labor procurement strategy
Travel to regional offices to directly interface with partners, leadership and internal team members on an as needed basis

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
Education and / or Experience
Minimum of a 4-year degree or comparable industry experience is required
5+ years as a Sourcing or Procurement Manager
5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
Strong project management and leadership sills
Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
Comfortable with collecting, analyzing and interpreting data

This role will lead AVI-SPL Practice and Alliance Managers and Service Solution Product Managers to manage AVI-SPL’s Service Portfolio and to define, formalize, and promote its Service Catalogue
