Harmonic Field Engineers will Install and test vCMTS racks which have been pre-wired at the client's warehouse.

Field Engineer will install inter-rack power to the devices in the racks.

Field Engineers will install fiber and Cat5 cables to provide management and streaming network connections between the vCMTS racks and the Comcast network.

Once racks are powered up and configured, Field Engineer will perform Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) to validate High Speed Internet (HSI), Video (Broadcast and VOD) and Voice services on the vCMTS system.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Headend installation skills and experience.
• Ability to install fiber and install and terminate coax.
• Novice level knowledge of RF and IP networking.
• Ability to use test gear and troubleshoot.
• Ability to read and update technical documentation.

Educational Requirements

• Attained or working toward a technical degree in electrical technician or engineering/computer science is preferred.
• Work experience which shows potential to perform in the headend environment.
