Description:
This role will be responsible for:
Drafting, reviewing and editing work instructions and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) for a product group.
Developing manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.
Collaborates with engineering regarding design for manufacturability concepts and limited specification requirements.
Designs, builds, and implements improvements on workflow ideas, fixture designs, and quality improvements.
Compiles and evaluates test and production data, prepares technical analysis. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency.
Provides production floor and assembly support in technical matters relating to assembly drawing interpretation, engineering change notices, rework, manufacturing difficulties and specifications.
Qualified applicants will possess:
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming or inspection). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies.
Knowledge of material processing for metals (e.g., welding forging, heat treat, machining, forming), polymers and composites (e.g., autoclave curing, lay-up, co-curing, repair), sealants and finishes processing (e.g., plating, painting, surface preparation, fay surface sealing, fillet sealing), and ceramic (e.g., high temperature processing, machining) and electronic materials (e.g., soldering, printed circuit board cleaning, conformal coating).
Knowledge of various production systems (e.g., flexible manufacturing systems, cellular manufacturing, U-lines).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
Strong ability in MS Office Suite with emphasis on MS Excel.
Education & Experience:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Typical experience: 2-4 years in an engineering classification with a Bachelor's degree or 0-2 years' experience in an engineering classification with a Master's degree.
