As an Agile Product Owner, you will build features for new and existing EBSCO Clinical Decisions products and services while helping to develop and drive new ideas. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy and the drive to make the company vision a reality. This Agile Product Owner will have responsibility of working with two offshore teams.

Excellent communication is essential, as you will need to communicate with all areas of the company and your team. You will work as a key member of an agile product development team to representthe customer and help create and refine requirements and features while forming mutual understanding across the development team and stakeholders. You will work with Product Manager counterparts to define and coordinate feature development across other teams. You will work with business stakeholders to ensure that development work aligns with desired product positioning, fully realizes key benefits, and meets the needs of the target customer.

You will lead the implementation of feature enhancements and new product offerings in a highly collaborative environment. You will implement product vision & product development with a clear focus on customer and end-user needs. This role will fulfill the development team's need for product direction, understanding the detail of personas and their problems.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Coordinate and oversee the work of two offshore Agile teams

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement and iteration planning

  • Write user stories, own the team backlog, and act as single source of truth for your team's commitments, progress, and capacity

  • Be a servant leader for your teams by removing obstacles and making sure requirements are clear and actionable

  • Build high quality software by only accepting work that meets our standards of "Done"

  • Balance maintenance versus enhancements to your team-owned systems and services

  • Build relationships with diverse stakeholders including product managers, architects, developers, designers, and customer satisfaction staff

  • Contribute to program vision and roadmap by providing feedback from the team

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2+ years of Product Owner and/or development experience

  • 1+ year of experience in personnel management, remote personnel management and/or project management

  • 1+ year of experience with the Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) methods and processes

  • 1+ year of experience working with geographically dispersed team

  • Ability to define and document product requirements

  • Demonstrated success in a matrixed, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated excellence at prioritizing projects

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Technical background in web application development a plus
