As the Operations Manager you will travel throughout the U.S. and be responsible for coordinating and overseeing a wide variety of activities to successfully implement new sites and processes. What you'll do on a typical day:


  • Review, generate, document and implement processes that meet or exceed customer expectations and deliver the expected efficiencies for profitable operations

  • Document concepts of operations and project plans designed to meet schedule and cost targets for new implementations

  • Partner with operations to oversee all production functions, including labor management, quality assurance and safety during the start up of a new site

  • Train and evaluate employee performance; recommend or initiate hiring, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions

  • Measure work performance; compare results to objectives and take corrective actions

  • Update and communicate information from regulatory agencies, company initiatives or customer requirements

  • Generate and review reports, research and resolve discrepancies

  • Proactively communicate with customers and executives regarding project status

  • Work closely with operations leaders to meet financial targets

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:


  • 4 years of managerial/supervisory experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field

  • Ability to travel up to 75%

  • Bilingual English/Spanish

  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment

  • Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience

  • Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)

  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments

  • Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
