SCHOLARSHIP DIRECTOR at University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma

Job Description:

The Director of the OU Scholarship Office is in charge of managing all scholarship operations, from admission to graduation. The position works with the OU Foundation, Development, Colleges, Departments, and Enrollment and Student Financial Services to ensure proper spending and stewardship of scholarship funds. Additionally, the position works directly with students to ensure they meet scholarship requirements and apply for scholarships annually.

Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:


  • 18-36 months in Student Service Arena

Skills:


  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English

  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

  • Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

  • Must be able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively

  • None

Advertised Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to engage in repetitive motions, move, and communicate.

Departmental Preferences:


  • Financial Aid experience

  • Scholarship experience

  • Bursar experience

Supervision: 1-5 Staff
