Key Accountabilities

• Perform locates

• Read meters

• Turn off / on water

• Installation and removal of water meters

• Operation of computer (iPad/Toughbook, et al)

• Flushing hydrants

• Operation of distribution valves

• Customer complaint investigations

• Drive a company vehicle in all weather conditions (must have valid operators license)

• Work with and around chemicals associated with the water industry

• Read maps and drawings

• Communication via telephone, email, face to face, and instant messaging

• Collection of water samples

• Service Watch (see contract for Service Watch requirements and work schedule)

• Understand and comply with company procedures and how they relate to area of responsibility

• Other duties as assigned

Other

• The current work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with one half-hour lunch break.


• The appropriate IDEM certification (DSL) shall be required within one (1) year of being awarded the position

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid, active state drivers license required and ability to pass motor vehicle background check.
