Job Description:

The Ticket Sales Representative is responsible for smooth and timely ticket sales. The ticket sales representative facilitates ticket purchases including but not limited to non-standard tickets, complimentary tickets, and other promotional or specially priced tickets. Ticket sales representative receives payment for tickets including cash, check, credit card, etc., and completes refunds in accordance with TSV policies. He/she reconciles ticket sales with payments received and provides guests with up-to-date and accurate general information.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
To sell/refund or provide guests with information regarding lift tickets and/or other TSV related products or programs.To receive payment for tickets, credit cards, and other payment types as directed by the Supervisor.Helps with the kiosk ticket machines, replace ticket stock and help reset the kioskIssue tickets and assist guests with pre-purchased orders via TSVs passport website and as well as call in Reservation system.Issue tickets purchased through Third Party lift pass purchasing sitesChecking usage and validating/invalidating lift tickets that are lost or replaced.Balance ticket sales with payments received. This is done with the assistance of the Cash-Out personnel. The ticket seller and Cash-Out personnel verify payments received and tickets sold.Actively supports the basic philosophies of TSV outlined in the Statement of Purpose.Shovels snow when necessary.Maintains a clean and well-stocked sales areaAnswers phones, radios, direct calls to the recipient, and screens calls as necessary.Assists guests with general information and answers complaints as necessary.Uses fax, scan, copy machine, email for company business and communication.Does data entry for small projects, making spreadsheets, etc.Willingness to help when needed in other departments, i.e. Food & Beverage and Retail.Maintains a professional, yet appropriate to the Ticket Office and Taos Ski Valley, appearance and attire as described in the Employee Handbook.Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdaysOther duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Experience in using a computer and ability to multi-task duties.Intermediate MS Office skills and good typing speed is requiredPrior experience in a guest services capacity is requiredMath skills which are sufficient to calculating refunds and ticketing upgradesExperience in using a cash register and credit card machinesIs self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervision.Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:
This position is available for work from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, work shift duration will range from 4 to 8 hours per day and be dependent upon customer volume and other needs of the department. In this position, you are also expected to be available for work on weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required when approved. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:
Frequently lifting up to 10-25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing, sitting 40-60% of the time. Talking and hearing 100% of the time. Walking, reaching, bending, climbing and outdoors 10-20% of the time.

Background Check:
Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
