Welder-Fabricator at High Concrete Group, LLC in Denver, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

The Welder is responsible to weld and fabricate all steel weldments and components to keep pace with production and assist East Building Production crews as needed to meet production and quality standards. 

General Duties:


  • MIG welding, burning, drilling, shearing, sawing, bending plasma cutting and grinding of steel to fabricate weld hardware for concrete pieces

  • Stud welding steel rebar 

  • Read blueprints to layout and fit parts for welding and assembly

  • to weld rails and strip beds

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to all weld shop equipment and designated plant machinery

  • Assist in production areas and beds as need

The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications:


  • High School Graduate or GED  

  • 3-5 years of MIG welding experience 

  • Ability to learn welding skills

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently 

  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measure


  • Current welding certification a plus - Flux Cure, Stick and Mig Wire

Experience


Required


  • 2 - 5 years: Fabrication experience

  • 2 - 5 years: Blueprint reading experience

  • 2 - 5 years: MIG Welding experience

Education


Preferred


  • Associates or better in Welding Technician or related field

Licenses & Certifications
