The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting business efforts to drive business in assigned market(s) and providing quality administrative support.  This individual will assist with lead generation or nurturing for an assigned sales team by gating incoming requests submitted, processing approved digital requests, and/or redirecting as necessary.  Occasionally, this individual may be called upon to complete proactive research projects in a timely manner or assist with preparing sales tracking/billing reports with accuracy.  Additionally, the Sales Coordinator will provide customer support associated with variable products and services including courseware, online content, assessment tools, and customized curriculum, and redirect feedback to relevant departments. This position reports to the Director of Sales Operations. 


 


Responsibilities



  • Work closely with team around administrative support in expanding and maintaining customer base for our products and services

  • Serves as ‘go-to’ person for sales reps or agents, regarding program operations and process questions, and occasionally as territory coverage backup

  • Redirect incoming sales leads or inquiries, process digital requests with approval from rep/agent, including those received via vendor partner portals (e.g., VitalSource)

  • Answer phone calls and incoming InfoBox emails efficiently; respond to customer sales needs and objectives - e.g., price quotes, resources, other general admin responsibilities associated with Sales

  • Conduct occasional market opportunity research, and sales tracking/analysis, or reporting as needed

  • Assist in setting up Navigate courses, and act as liaison to troubleshoot Nav-related low-tier issues

  • Prioritize customer retention by achieving good understanding around resources available in support of team performance

  • Partner with team on tactical strategy, including select correspondence in support of growth

  • Maintain contracts/billing reports as needed; act as liaison with aligning internal Customer Service

  • Collaborate with the entire Sales Operations team to complete tactical, day-to-day requests

Experience and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum one-year previous sales or sales support experience required

  • MSFT Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Active listener with patience to understand concerns or needs of peers, prospects, clients, or agents

  • Self-starter comfortable in a support role

  • Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and adapt

  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, and solving

  • Ability to respond to requests with sense of urgency and take initiative to address

  • Good liaison with and for all other department members

  • Must share our business values, and work in accordance with those values
