A role in accounting is a great way to get started with LHR. In this role you'll be working 'behind the scenes' in our corporate offices supporting our resorts by maintaining financial records, preparing financial documents and reports and ensuring that records remain accurate. This role is so important in keeping our companies running smoothly.

This position is vital to our accounting department and serves as fundamental support for our resorts so they can provide the best hospitality LHR can offer at each of it's locations.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Analyst provides support to both the Accounts Payable and the Cash Receivables department. This position assists the Treasury Manager in carrying out the departmental responsibilities, including inputting entries into SPI, creating journal entries, reconciling bank statements, and serving as backup for transfers and Night Audit. Additionally, this position is responsible for preparing invoices for processing within established timeframes and consistent with company policy and accepted accounting practices. This position helps ensure the accuracy of vendor records and invoices and that approval is secured before payment is made.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for all of the following:


  • Reviews all invoices and documentation for proper approval and coding.


  • Processes all invoices, credit memos and payments.


  • Works closely with GMs and their staff on any Accounts Payable issues.


  • Reconciles vendor statements.


  • Responds to all vendor inquiries.


  • Maintains 1099 records.


  • Reconciles Month End AP Aging to General Ledger.


  • Maintains accounts receivable through billing and cash receipts.


  • Bank reconciliations.


  • Processes adjustments through receivable software


  • Month end accounting reconciliations and journal entries


  • Check deposits.


  • Scanning bank documents and cash entries

OTHER FUNCTIONS


  • Perform other accounting and financial tasks as may be required from time to time by the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.

  • Assist with other projects as needed to ensure smooth operation of the Accounting Department.

The Accounting Analyst may also:


  • Assist with general ledger reconciliations as requested.

  • Reconciling Night Audit for external departments or clients

  • Filing and paying sales tax for client HOA’s and companies

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education/Credentials
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma.

Two-year degree required.

Experience

This position requires at least two years of experience in accounts payable. Experience with Great Plains and/or KwikTag is preferred, but not required.
