Director of Pricing at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

As the Director of Pricing , Architectural Coatings USCA, you will lead the pricing teams. You will direct the team in the creation of actionable pricing insights that inspire top line growth and margin expansion across all channels. Additionally, you will be an important partner to the product, marketing, and field sales teams providing thoughtful insights and price recommendations (product/customer) backed by data.

You will work a hybrid schedule in Cranberry Twp, PA and report to the Director of Product Management, Marketing and Pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategies that align with business overall objectives, market positioning, and competitive landscape.


• Conduct research data to understand customer behavior, market trends, and competitor pricing strategies.


• Set prices for products or services based on cost analysis, market conditions, and team goals.


• Review and improve pricing strategies to maximize revenue and margin.


• Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and other departments to ensure pricing strategies are aligned with business objectives.


• Monitor pricing performance, including pricing measurements, to assess the effectiveness of pricing strategies.


• Develop and implement pricing policies, procedures, and tools to streamline pricing processes and ensure consistency across the organization.


• Ensure pricing strategies comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and company policies.


• Gather and analyze customer and market insights to inform pricing decisions and strategies.


• Support marketing and product in the pricing of new products and in analysis of current products.

• BSBA in Finance, Accounting, or other related degree.


• 8+ year's of experience.


• MBA preferred.


• Expert in PowerPoint and Excel (can write advanced macros), familiarity with Alteryx and Power BI.
