Jabil’s Summer Internship Program in St. Petersburg Florida was recognized as one of the Top 100 Internship Programs in the country for 2023 by WayUp. This is the result of a holistic and engaging experience that summer interns at Jabil in St. Pete experienced. As a result, interns that are a part of this program for summer 2024 will get to engage with members of Jabil’s leadership team and participate in events related to professional development, networking & socializing, and community engagement. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to work with each other in committees, be assigned a Peer Partner (e.g., mentor), tour some of Jabil’s facilities and much more! SUMMARY OF POSITION

Synchronizes the various activities involved in the successful completion of assigned environmental & sustainability projects and tasks. Supports and enhances internal stakeholder relationships. Demonstrates technical capability of delivering projects of various complexities while working in a fast-paced environment with local and international teams. Most or all projects will be focused on environmental or ESG sustainability, such as carbon/GHG accounting, product carbon footprint and life cycle assessment analyses, legal research, biodiversity impact research, water and waste stewardship, ESG survey support, other benchmarking and research projects, data collection & analysis, and supporting the overall achievement of Jabil's sustainability and legal compliance goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensures all of the project's requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.


  • Assists in recognizing project's Key Performance Indicators and gathers information regarding scope, quality, time and cost constraints.


  • Conduct research and benchmarking analyses


  • Identifies project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation.


  • Facilitates communication as appropriate to all stakeholders; develops research documents, excel spreadsheet analyses and powerpoint presentations, updates SharePoint site sustainability communications and manage applicable Microsoft Teams sites. This includes escalating issues to the next level of management as needed.


  • Coordinates tasks involved within project’s multi-functional teams to achieve company and customer overall project success; will involve occasional early- morning or evening meetings to accommodate teams in different time zones.


  • Understands and exceeds customer needs and expectations.


  • Gathers information for periodic communication forums for the exchange of ideas and information for projects including project status, resolving legal project issues, problems, and changes.


  • Organizes verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.


  • Responds in a timely fashion to common inquiries from internal personnel.


  • Able to self-manage and work effectively in a remote or workplace environment.


  • Adheres to all environmental, safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.


  • complies with and follows all procedures within the company security policy.


  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION


  • Must be currently enrolled at a law school

  • Knowledge of ESG legal disclosures preferred

  • GPA: min 3.0

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must be available to work in St. Petersburg, Florida between May 20, 2024 - Aug 9, 2024

  • Understanding of environmental sustainability law

  • Project management experience

  • Research experience

  • Driven and self motivated

  • Experience working with a team
