PROMAN Staffing has partnered with an Italian wholesale manufacturer of exterior shading products, located in Dallas/Ft. Worth Area to hire a highly organized, detail oriented, collaborative Buyer/Procurement Lead to optimize production processes within their "made to measure" manufacturing plant.
This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity
As the Buyer/Procurement Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain processes. This position involves managing the sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution activities to ensure the efficient flow of goods and services. The goal is to enhance operational efficiency, minimize costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
Buyer/Procurement Lead Responsibilities
Perform daily ordering of all inventory items: aluminum, steel, small components, powders, tools and PPE.
Organize repetitive audits, annual inventory counts and ad hoc spot checks to assure inventory accuracy in the ERP system.
Reconcile inventory counts and perform root cause analysis of all discrepancies.
Lead the procurement process from identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and favorable terms.
Continuously evaluate and monitor supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of supplier relations and procurement processes.
Transform spend and historical data into key insights and opportunities to decrease expenditure.
Coordinate for best practices in strategic sourcing and procurement that align with stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and performance with commercial suppliers.
Guarantee appropriate communication, reporting and cooperation with all stakeholders.
Minimize working capital/inventories.
Identify key materials for regional sourcing and contact potential business partners to start sourcing discussions.
Establish production part approval processes and new vendor evaluation programs.
