JOB PROFILE: Financial Business Analyst

JOB LOCATION:Carrollton, TX

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Business Analyst will deliver support to many different areas of the business including our client Operations and has direct interaction with fellow team members and the client (as necessary). Responsible for collecting, analyzing, communicating, and documenting requirements, as well as identifying issues and potential solutions, and structuring and drawing conclusions under limited guidance. This role requires a proactive and analytical individual with a financial and accounting background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively. We are looking for an individual who will be a strong team player, will learn the background of our company, will show self-initiative in the completion of assigned tasks, and has a desire to work with the R&D team to create new solutions for finance and accounting. The financial business analyst will report directly to the VP of Finance & Accounting.
• Client and Internal Business Requirements Gathering, Analysis, and Functional/ Technical Specifications -
o Support internal and client business, functional, financial, and technical processes.
o Perform, prepare, and maintain project documentation/ deliverables and artifacts including analysis, reports, graphical representations, and user documentation as directed.
o Document necessary collected information referring to the ongoing requirements and business practices for assigned clients/projects.
o Perform the analysis, review, and design of system features.
o Create workflow charts, process diagrams, test cases/plans, and business requirements as needed.
• Support of Implementation and Operational Projects -
o Interacts with project teams to support, investigate, and resolve financial variances, reporting issues, and other system defects.
o Works closely with developers, QA testing, and other project team members during the implementation of projects to ensure the functional requirements of the financial aspects of the solution will be met.
o Works in preparation and revision of documentation regarding the financial and accounting aspects of our solutions.
o Support professional delivery and maintenance of services to the client and financial operations teams.
• Research and Development -
o Assist the VP of Finance in leading efforts to improve and deliver new solutions related to finance and accounting for our mobility solutions.
o Interacts with project teams from various areas through the beginning-to-end phases of delivering these solutions.
o Will apply knowledge from accounting, finance, data analysis, and other emerging technologies to participate in the design, development, testing, and delivery of these solutions.
• Client Education and Training -
o Assist in training the end users of the application, ad hoc reporting, and other applications as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Accounting or Banking experience with emphasis on daily and monthly reconciliations for depository, credit card, and general ledger liability accounts.
o Familiarity with financial ERP systems, and implementation experience is a plus.
o Familiarity with financial controls and audit processes and procedures.
o Superior personal and interpersonal attributes (e.g., results-oriented, and performance-oriented work style, creativity, entrepreneurial qualities, personal maturity).
o Ambitious and motivated with leadership skills but a collaborative personality.
o High level of integrity and reliability.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, end users, and subject matter experts.
o Excellent analytical skills, logical and structured thinking, and creativity in problem-solving.
o Curiosity, adaptability, and the willingness to learn new processes and methodologies.
o Ability to demonstrate commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
o Ability to work independently and work effectively within a team environment.
o U.S.-based experience working with the end client environment preferably in banking, finance, or transportation/ mobility domain.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• 2 - 5 years of experience as a Business or Financial Analyst in a large enterprise
• An Undergraduate degree in any field, a major field of study in Finance and Accounting is a plus.
