Perelel Health: Inventory Planning Manager
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for the Inventory Planning Manager role at a leading CPG start-up brand in women's nutritional health. This position reports to the SVP, Operations and will be responsible for managing inventory forecasts and production planning. Major responsibilities will be to improve forecast accuracy with data-backed insights and create, modify, and manage production schedules to ensure in-stock position.
Responsibilities:
Manage SKU, Product and Account level forecasts to achieve forecast accuracy objectives
Ensure forecasting objectives are achieved, review potential risks/opportunities between the demand plan and financial plan, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and reduce inventory risk
Review sales forecasts and current orders to assess inventory status and upcoming production needs
Create / evaluate/modify purchase orders to support developed production schedules.
Verify resource availability (material, equipment) required for production to deliver excellent customer service at optimal inventory levels
Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production
Recommending viable solutions to reduce product costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
Identify and resolve supply shortfalls to formulate actions plan to avert stock out or excess inventory
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the forecasting and production planning processes
Create and implement effective monthly S&OP process to help cross-functional collaboration
Quantify new product launches utilizing historical data and analyze post-launch to determine risks and opportunities
Participate in the development and implementation of an improved Production Planning system.
Create, measure and report forecast accuracy and other KPIs relating to demand planning and supply chain for continuous improvement
Provide input to the development of inventory policies and parameters
Monitor SKU trends and make recommendations
Ad hoc analysis as required
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in demand planning and/or production planning
4-year degree in business operations, finance, or related field
CPG experience is a plus
Excellent organizational skills
Advanced Excel usage
Strong written and verbal communication skill
Excellent interpersonal skills
Possess a challenger mindset and an ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
Detail oriented
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
