ECS is seeking a 508 Compliance Tester (Top Secret Cleared) to work in our Washington, DC office.
Job Description:
Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to understand product specifics and create corresponding test strategies
Provide oversight and governance to ensure compliance with 508 standards
Establish priorities to maximize achievement against compliance goals
Maintain close awareness of Section 508 and WCAG guidance and direction coming from GSA, usability.gov and other federal organizations
Provides compliance guidance to support technology planning, design, development, testing and implementation activities
Interpret and provide guidance on Section 508 and related accessibility laws, regulations and standards.
Provide guidance and support, leading to improved accessibility decisions when purchasing or deploying tools
Design, develop, evaluate and update test scenarios, test plans and test procedures as necessary
Manage 508 Compliance manual testing
Knowledge of the IC Scorecard and Fundamentals in Accessibility Testing (FIAT) course preferred
Manual testing, interpreting system requirements, writing test plans and test scripts and executing test scripts and documenting results
Work experience with Agile, JIRA, SQL/test validation and MySQL/Oracle
Provides remediation guidance for accessibility and compliance to section 508 of the ADA act and explains what processes are available and used for remediation
Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of Obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, or related discipline
At least 8+ years of experience, including 3+ years of progressive experience with Section 508 compliance and development standards
Experience with Accessibility Testing
Experience with ANDI
Experience with Colour Contrast Analyser
Experience with Fusion/JAWS
Extensive knowledge of WCAG and 508 Standards
