Job Summary:

The person hired for the role of Automotive Electrification Sales Specialist will be responsible for leading and growing share of 3M’s Automotive Electrification portfolio at an OEM customer. This sales professional will maintain and grow account relationships at all levels including direct interface with OEM Purchasing, Design, Product Development as well as Program Management located in Michigan and other locations as required. They will lead the creation of global design standards, material specification approvals and the global implementation of those specification approvals to grow 3M’s Automotive Electrification business.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Leads the commercialization of 3M’s Automotive Electrification product portfolio at designated OEM and with applicable Tier supply chain with global team.

  • Identify, forecast and execute target sales penetration of designated OEM vehicle platforms.

  • Responsible for identifying new commercialization opportunities in conjunction with designated OEM and 3M portfolio

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, engineering, and/or military

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Current Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA degree in business or technical curriculum

  • 5 or more years of Automotive OEM electronic component sales experience

  • Selling experience with technical product portfolio solutions

  • Automotive global platform sales experience

  • Experience in new product commercialization initiatives with a designated OEM

  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office and 360 products, Salesforce and related sales software as required

  • Fluent English oral and written communication

Location: Livonia, Michigan

Sales Territory: United States and working with global teams

Travel: May include up to 25% domestic / limited international as needed
