SUMMARY: The IMA (Integrated Microwave Assembly) Product Engineer supports the manufacturing, sales, process and quality departments. Their primary responsibility is to troubleshoot and resolve product, process and test related issues to ensure smooth flow of products to meet customer commitments. Product development responsibilities include replacement of obsolete components and redesigns to continue to offer legacy products.

â€¢ Test and troubleshoot with minimal supervision functional performance of IMA products under specific operating conditions. Product types include RF filters, phase shifters, combiners, multiplexers and related functions.
â€¢ Create and update documentation packages for new and existing RF & Microwave modules.
â€¢ Develop manual and automated test methods for products as well as generate all necessary documentation to release these to manufacturing
â€¢ Work in conjunction with the sales department and other engineering groups to evaluate new product opportunities and estimate the costs and resources required for product development. Ensure communication with customers as required on new and existing products
â€¢ Present and interpret data in graphical formats to analyze device performance against required specifications. As well as compare and analyze test results with specifications to determine failure modes and to improve product yields
â€¢ Operate test and measurement equipment including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

â€¢ Ensure/maintain production standards in accordance with established process procedures. Correct problems in designs or documentation through the ECN and QNR systems
â€¢ Clarify and assist line operators in understanding production parameters. Answer questions and interpret work documentation as well as train operators in use of equipment, test plans and data requirements
â€¢ Investigate internal quality deficiencies and/or customer product returns. Generate failure analysis reports and implement corrective actions based upon the causes of returns
â€¢ Serve on the release team for new products. Generate all required release documents in accordance with company procedures
â€¢ Perform product verification on new product releases and generate product verification reports
â€¢ Review internal documentation on products being quoted by the sales department. Implement required changes in documentation, processes and materials so that the products can be manufactured
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
â€¢ Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent AND
â€¢ Minimum of five yearsâ€™ experience in manufacturing and test of electronic assemblies OR
â€¢ Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
â€¢ Experience in operation and application of test and measurement instruments for electronic assemblies, preferably in RF & Microwave module design, analyses and/or associated processes
â€¢ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint for data analysis, documentation and reporting
