Job Description Summary
Lonza is searching for a MES Engineer for our Portsmouth, NH facility.
Our MES Engineer will work on developing new electronic recipes for our Cell Therapy suite.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop new electronic recipes for tracking and documenting chain of custody throughout a cell therapy process; ensure that operational data, configurations, processes and reports meet client requirements.
Assist in the rollout of custom MES software by creating relevent documentation, end user training and managing user accounts.
Author/review/own system related documentation e.g. SOPs.
Providing on and off-hour support to manufacturing.
Support system related requests such as data retrieval and customer inquiries.
Assess and implement changes under approved change control or CA/PA.
Provide support to current and future customers via on-site visits, phone and email.
The successful candidate will need to have the following requirements in order to be a top contender for this role:
Associate or Bachelor degree in a science related field or IT Systems (software focus) is required.
Excellent communication, client consulting, and project management skills.
A core background in either Life Sciences Manufacturing or MES, with complementary skills in the other:
>3 years’ experience in Life Sciences Manufacturing as a supervisor or senior technician, IT Engineering Role supporting Manufacturing, or related industry.
Core Computer IT Skills and capability to learn advanced IT skills
MES IT Skillsets:
>3 years’ experience implementing software systems and performing tasks in a regulated or pharmaceutical production environment (or software engineering experience)
Understanding of TrackWise, SAP, and LIMS.
Hard working, inquisitive, mentally-flexible and critical thinking are must have qualities for the role.
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
A positive attitude and an ability to adapt to, and embrace changed conditions are a big plus.
